Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will play a vital part in supporting HR operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for HR and strong administrative skills to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team. Responsibilities: - Maintain and organize both physical and digital personnel records, including employment contracts and related documents. - Update internal databases with new employee information and ensure records are accurate and up-to-date. - Create, publish, and remove job advertisements as needed. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations on HR metrics, such as hiring statistics by department. - Develop training and onboarding materials to streamline new employee integration. - Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, including vacation eligibility and other HR-related concerns. - Ensure compliance with labor laws and practices while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. - Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive and approachable HR environment. - Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in HR processes. - Assist with background checks, benefit functions, and other HR-related tasks as needed. Requirements - Degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field. - Entry-level experience in an HR role or equivalent administrative position. - Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or similar software. - Familiarity with ATS and HRMS platforms. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ethical judgment. - Critical thinking skills and attention to detail. - Customer service mindset with a helpful and approachable demeanor.
